Cinereous vulture (Aegypius monachus) returned to CWR for breeding

Each year CWR rangers conduct counts and monitoring of vultures species in the CWR area. This year we are happy to announce that the Cinereous vulture (Aegypius monachus) returned to CWR for breeding. The breeding pair successfully hatched and fledged the only nestling. This may indicate that the Cinereous vulture is expanding its nesting area in the country.

Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) with ArAves nature conservation NGO aims to protect vulture species breeding in Armenia and help increase their population in the country.
