Birds of Armenia: A Workshop for Youth

Dear Bird-Loving Students,
Join our workshop to discover the ecology, behavior, lifestyle characteristics, and conservation needs of Armenia’s native birds.
One of the best ways to truly know your country is by exploring its natural environment, flora, and fauna. If you love animals—especially birds—and are passionate about environmental protection and ecological issues, don’t miss this opportunity to experience Armenia from a bird’s perspective.
FPWC invites all young people to participate in an interactive eco-course focused on the birds of Armenia.
This comprehensive program consists of 10 lessons and 2 field trips, through which you’ll learn about the ecology, behavior, distinctive lifestyle features, and conservation requirements of birds found throughout Armenia and the surrounding region.
Applications must be submitted by December 5.
When and where will the workshop take place? The first session begins December 9 at 13:00. Additional location details will be provided to registered participants.
Who can participate? Any young person 15 years of age or older.
What field trips are included? Moderate-difficulty walking tours combined with guided birdwatching. These excursions allow participants to observe birds in their natural habitats and study their behavior firsthand. We will visit the Caucasian Biodiversity Shelter (CWR), Armash wetlands, and Lake Sevan.
The course is offered free of charge.
Participants who attend all sessions will receive a certificate of completion.
